New addition to the family

August 26, 2005

Yeah, I know it hasn’t been long since Shadow died but my brother went and got a new dog a month or so ago. Let me introduce to you Leo the Troublemaker.

Leo says: I’m pooping. Leave me alone.

Leo says: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…a good poop always make me feel a lot better.

I was bored. So sue me =P

Gradumacation

August 15, 2005

Oooops I meant GRADUATION! =D

*sings* I gradu-ated I gradu-ated I gradu-ated I gradu-ated yesterday!!!

To all my friends; CONGRATULATIONS and God bless. We’ve done it!!!

The ceremony officially started at about 9am (though it was scheduled at 8) because the GUEST OF HONOR, the Chief Minister of Sarawak made a “fashionably late” appearence a quarter to 9. I was the first few from my faculty to go up and get the ‘degree’. That moment past by really fast. I will admit that I was a little nervous before going up. Thoughts like “What if I fall flat on my face?”, “What if I farted while getting my degree?”, “What if I tripped over myself and fall on the Chief Minister?” etc. But all was well. I didn’t do anything embarassing…I think. Heh

The ceremony ended at about 11.30 am. I took some pictures with the parents and then went home. About 4pm I went back with my robe and all that to take pics with Fiona as her ceremony was in the afternooon. I’ll post pictures later when I transfer them into my laptop.

At 7.30pm I went to Linda’s celebration dinner. Lots of good food and laughter. Thanks to Linda and her parents for the dinner.

For now, I’m going to get some shut eye as I was shorted on sleep last night.

Bing!

August 12, 2005

Went to Bing! after graduation rehearsal this morning. Had spaghetti and I didn’t really like it. BLEH. It looked really good though but didn’t taste as much as expected. Or maybe it just didn’t hit my taste buds straight on. Oh well.

Took lotsa pictures there. Hehehe Yep, got myself a digital camera…FINALLY. It’s an Olympus FE-5500 and I totally love it! =D

Us (Pei Ee, Linda, Fiona & Me) at rehearsal

You’re still staring…do you know it’s RUDE to stare?

Okay..stop staring or Fiona will attack you with her long LONG fingernails *GROWL*

Oooo is that Superman?

July 27, 2005

Been sick since I got back from my KL trip. Wait a minute? Yes, I went over to KL last weekend. Shop shop shop shop. How I wish I can get paid for shopping. That would be a total dream job for yours truly *snicker*

The night I came back I started sneezing like crazy and have been sick since then. Just a cold, nothing major like that last time I got sick. Throat infection=BAD, cold=not-so-bad teeheehee.

Form 6 just finished their monthly tests today so at the moment I’m pretty busy grading tests. Finals are starting at the end of September which is fairly fast. Technically the school holidays start on the second week of November but St Thomas is starting the holidays earlier on the 29th October. WOOT! And then a few days after that Robbie is coming to see me!!! *jumps in joy*

Well I better run. Gotta make some notes for the rascals tomorrow.

Au revoir!

OH MY GOD!!!

July 19, 2005

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I’m so excited!!! I’m so restless!!!
WOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Heh..I think I feel better now…NOT! Who am I kidding?!?! I’m still hyper and excited. Yes I know it’s not until another 3 months or so but I’m still excited. Air tickets are booked. Accomodations are booked (I scored a KILLER deal =D). YAY!!!

Okay, now I have to finish some work BLEHHHHH

Short post…

July 9, 2005

I’ve always thought teaching was an easy job. Boy, was I wrong. Add the fact that students continue to annoy and irritate me day in day out. In fact, some PISS ME OFF some days. UGH! Teenagers are such a pain in my BIG FAT ASS!

This weekend is the RainForest concert/festival thingy again. I missed it again. I hear it’s a great event to attend..lots of fun but I just never got to wanting to go for some reason. Oh well…maybe next year. *snickers*

I’m tired…bed time *thud*

How the Malaysian civil sector SUCKS!

July 4, 2005

Yes, I know there hasn’t been any posts for a couple weeks now, so now you may stop whining about new posts (that is if people actually read this).

A few weeks ago, I had the ‘pleasure’ of ‘visiting’ the Resident Office in town where I needed to get a document “autographed” by one of the officers (buttheads). I will explain in further detail as to why I label them as buttheads.

I reached there at about 2.30pm hoping to get the papers signed quickly and go about my business. But to my HORROR *gasp*, when I got there the person whose signature I needed was away at a “meeting” and will be back soon, I was told. I then asked one of the staff what time Mr. I-need-your-signature will be back. She said “shortly”.

So I sat around for about 15 minutes which is what shortly means to me. Then another 15 minutes…then another…I grew impatient and asked the staff if someone else could sign the papers. Yes, there WAS someone who could do that other than the person who was in the meeting. He’s in the second floor. GEEZ Why didn’t you tell me THAT when I ROT in my casket???

I went to the second floor, excited that I could get the stupid papers signed so that I could go home and do something more productive like….watch TV (BLEH). I reached the second floor and asked for that person…and guess what? He was in a “meeting” (too), I’m told. I sat and waited some more.

By about 4.oopm MIRACULOUSLY both of them showed up at the same time. They weren’t in meeting. They were OUT for TEA TIME. How do I know? I heard one of the ladies there complained to them that a bunch of us were waiting for him to sign those papers (I forgot I wasn’t the only person there waiting to get some papers signed by the buttheads). After the signature the documents needed to be stamped with some official logo and crap. That took a while as well…I mean it’s just so HARD and complicated to stamp a piece of paper.

In conclusion, to get a piece of paper signed and stamped takes about 2 hours…and that my readers is why the public service sector SUCKS! It’s inefficient AND unproductive. Now, does working 5 days a week make any sense?? Yeah I’m sure their productivity and efficiency will rocket through the atmosphere.

I DON’T THINK SO. Enough said.

"I will never be a teacher…"

June 19, 2005

Yet my first job is a….TEACHER…Figures…

Yeah yeah yeah, I know…it’s been a week and no post?!?!

Give me a break, teaching is somewhat freakishly tiring for some reason. BLEH I wake up at about 5.30 every morning to get ready for work. By 6.20 I’m in the kitchen having my morning cup of coffee/milk/tea. And I frantically run out the door by 6.30, out of the house to sit in my car for almost 30 minutes on the road with a handful of idiotic drivers…EVERYDAY.

Then I finish work by 1pm or so, go home..get stuck in traffic for almost another 30 minutes. I get home, feed the dog…sometimes give him a bath THEN I make some food, take a shower and chill out while spending time with Robbie. Before I know it it’s dinner time! I have my dinner…get ready for classes the next day and BOOM it’s 10.30 pm. Time to get some sleep. Problem is I don’t fall asleep right away. I lay there, physically tired while my mind is racing with thoughts until I pass out for the day. So that’s basically what I do day to day except on weekends.

The students are alright but one class really pisses me off most of the time. It’s shame for them though cos when they piss me off, it affects how I teach. I am only human. *shrug* I won’t talk about any particular student on here as it is, well, unprofessional. Plus, you never know one of them would find out about my blog and start passing the link around heh. I know I don’t want the school principal reading this. Lol

In conclusion, this experience is a good one. Now I’m even more certain I’m not a teacher in the making. I really don’t have that much patience with 18/19 year olds. heh
