Of durians and X’mas tree
December 8, 2007
Here I go again obsessing over my thesis, which if you think about it from my point of view, is a good thing. So that explains why I haven’t been blogging much.
Last weekend (yes very outdated post) my dad bought durians and we had quite a feast of sorts. Durians are quite expensive at the moment, ranging from RM12-RM20 per durian. The durian seller wanted to sell my dad RM20 per durian and my dad practically laughed at his face. HEH. Anyway some bargains were made and dad bought five durians.
Nonetheless, I guess that’s a price to pay if you really love durian.
Mmmmm I can almost taste that milky texture
Since it stopped raining this week and when I say it stopped raining, I’m referring to the fact that it didn’t rain for about 7 days in a row like last week. That means it’s back to the banging and pounding. (Get your head out of the gutter)
So by estimate, when this renovation is done, we will have another room as big as our sitting room, which my mom wants to fondly call it “The Family Room”. However, I’m quite indifferent about it, considering I already have a tv in my room and rarely hang out in the sitting room ever since.
On a more festive note, I’ve put up my Christmas tree for the year. Come to think of it, this would probably be the third time I have a tree for Christmas. The last time I had a tree was 2 years ago when Rob was here. Of course this fake tree compares nothing to the real tree.
*sigh*
Now I miss Chicago and to some extent (OMG ROB IS GOING TO BE SO SHOCKED WHEN I SAY THIS) winter. I miss the snow (though it didn’t snow when I was there but being able to see it in Wilmot works for me). I hope to go back again next year.
Isn’t it pretty? The lights change….
Are you bored with my mundane life stories yet? I am. Unless you want me to start talking about China’s foreign direct investments and exports and imports and the works…? Yeah, I thought so. I’m gonna sign off then.
Don’t expect me to blog much in the coming weeks.
Oh by the way, Rob FINALLY updated his blog.
Okay okay, I’m going back to the thesis.
