Love…?

November 28, 2004

Love, now that’s a topic most people can relate to. There are so many definitions for love out there. I guess here I would like to express my version of the definition of love.

Growing up watching fairytale cartoons where the prince and princess always end up kissing and living happily ever after was my dream. But of course as you grow you realize that is not the case. I mean, you can’t just kiss a person and know he/she is the one for you. I’m a firm believer of true love. I believe that there is someone out there for everyone. The problem is meeting that someone. I’ve always believed in soulmates and hoped and prayed to meet mine. I am very fortunate to have met mine and I thank God everyday for answering prayers. In my deepest dreams I never thought I would feel this close to anyone or be this happy.

Love starts with friendship and develops into something deeper. To love someone is to know someone. Love is believing in that someone no matter what happens. There will be no love where there is no trust.

Love means waking up everyday thinking of him/her and smile. Love means when he/she says “Everything will be okay” you believe it with all your heart. Love is being silly with each other and not be embarassed. Love is having burp competitions and laugh about it. Love means kissing his/her nose when he/she is sick. Love is learning how to cook something he/she loves to eat. Love means feeling sexy with each other even when you’re 60. Love means kissing each other when you first wake up before mouth wash. Love is sharing the bathroom while another is on the toilet. Love is when a hug and kiss erases all negative feelings. Love is slow dancing to the music in your heart. Love is when you’re happy or sad he/she is the first person you think about. Love means when he/she is gone, you feel his/her presence.

It’s love when you love someone so much you could cry. It’s love when the thought of losing them makes you so scared. It’s love when seeing the sunset makes you miss him/her more because you just want to share something so simple yet so amazing together. It’s love when hours spent together feels like minutes. It’s love when seeing him/her smile makes you smile. It’s love when there are times when it feels like it’s just the two of you in this world. It’s love when you’re inspired to write something like this based on him/her.

Love is the answer to so many questions. Love just is, love is life.

Education education education…

November 24, 2004

Last semester at school, still so much to do. Classes and assignments are pouring in. I often wonder if doing exceptionally good at school would determine your future. Perhaps in a way or two it might or will. I will honestly say that there was a point in my life I thought that doing good in school was the most important responsibility for a student. But as I grow I realize that that is not the case.

My mentor told me today that he wants to see me in the dean’s list for this last semester. I just smiled and nodded, signalling that I’d try my best. Yes, it’s good to have a goal. It’s good to excel in school. It’s good to be knowledgeable. Personally, ones education level or achievement says nothing about who a person is other than how good he or she is in studying. Your friends need not be geniuses. Your boyfriend/girlfriend does not need to be the top in his/her class to make you happy. Your husband/wife does not need to have a great earning job to complete you. Sure, having an education is a plus, I won’t deny that but it is not the aspect that determines your life, your happiness.

Life isn’t about studying and getting good grades. At the same time, I’m not pushing away the fact that education is important. Life isn’t about having a lot of money. It’s about experiencing. It’s about being happy, getting hurt, falling down and getting up and trying again. Life is too short to spend it worrying about minor details.

First day…

November 22, 2004

First day of the semester. Sort of boring. Went to the faculty, activated my thingy online…heh don’t know what to call it. But I think those reading this understand what I’m talking about. My schedule this semester is ok I guess. Busy on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. BLEH On a good side I don’t have classes on Fridays which means I get a somewhat longer weekend =D

I had a nice day. Spent a fair amount of time with Robbie. Took some quizzes online and the results for the both of us were similar!!! That is just too cool. =D I never thought there would be someone out there so much like me. So I count my blessings everyday and am so thankful. It’s not everyday you meet someone that’s so compatible with you in almost everything and at the same time there are differences it makes things exciting everyday.

For some reason I’m yawning like crazy here. Think I haven’t gotten over the time difference with Australia haha. Ok I’m gonna hit the bed.

New semester starts…TOMORROW AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

November 21, 2004

I woke up this morning and it seem nice and cloudy. A couple hours later it’s so hot and sunny. Then it started to rain and got windy which was nice too. Now it’s SO humid and warm out!!! Arghhhhhhh! I don’t like it when it gets humid here. BLEH BLEH BLEH

The weather in Australia is kinda nice. Though the sun is shinning bright there’s still nice cool wind. Now that’s the kind of weather I don’t mind being out and about in. Anyways, enough weather talk.

So I’m starting a new semester tomorrow. In some way I’m kinda looking forward to it (yes I’m feeling okay). It’s the last semester for me and I just wanna get it done and over with so *cross fingers* and hope I do well. I’m getting ideas on what to write for my PI (Penulisan Ilmiah for those who don’t know). Initially I wanted to write about the very talked about issue of the NMD (National Missile Defense). But Robbie gave me some ideas on topics regarding global economy/finance and it sounds really interesting. I think I might just do that. Hmmmm, perhaps I should raid the library first before making any decisions and writing a proposal. We shall see.

I’m back!!!

November 20, 2004

Wheeeeeeeee!!! I’m home at last =D My trip to Aussie Land was good good GOOD. What a week! It’s like shopping mania this past week. I LOVE IT! lol I bought clothes clothes clothes heh. I’m way too good at shopping now I think. It’s weird to think that a couple years ago I didn’t enjoy shopping so much. Now it’s like any chance I get, I’d go for it.

My daily routine in Australia includes waking up, brushing my teeth, going to the bathroom, a glass of milk in the kitchen and off to the mall. LOL Then it’s like go in a couple stores and get hungry. Stop by to get a sandwich thingy or ice cream. And it’s back to shopping until it feels like my feet are about to crack I shop some more. By the time I get back from the mall it’s dinner time, a shower, a little tv and SLEEP. Never knew shopping could be that tiring LOL. So I wake up the next day and it’s pretty much the same thing all over again. Ice cream ice cream ice cream. I swear sometimes I feel like I live to eat ice cream LOL. Let’s see if I can remember all the flavours I tried. I had rum n raisin, cookies n cream, chocolate cheesecake (YES ACTUAL PIECES OF CHEESECAKE IN CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM!!!!), mango, passionfruit, raspberry delight and ummmm I think it’s call macademia madness. Gosh I think I can still taste those flavours right now LOL

On Thursday, my mom and I went down to the city. Things in the city are so expensive compared those in the suburbs. Like for the same box of chocolates, it’s like AUD$6 (that’s almost RM18) more expensive in the city than in the suburb where I stayed in. We also visited the Queen Victoria Building. It’s a combination of a shopping mall and museum like place. There were paintings of Queen Victoria, jewels she wore, a really big cool looking clock etc. Mind you, the building itself was renovated in 1984 by a Malaysian company! (Check it out at http://www.sydney.com.au/qvb.htm) It was sorta cool looking at those things. I think the most awesome thing I saw in Sydney was the Christmas tree in center of that building. It is like FOUR storeys high!! That is the TALLEST Christmas tree I have ever seen in my life!

I arrived in Kuching at about 3.30am today and got home at about 4.30am. I went to bed an hour later and slept 4 hours more or less. And so right about now I’m absolutely EXHAUSTED. If I’m exhausted what am I doing here writing this? hehe Yeah I’m weird like that. PROUD OF IT TOO! =D

I had a wonderful day. Spent a few hours with Robbie after a week of no “shnuggle time”. Thank God I had a VodaPhone SIM card in Australia. Spent a fair amount of money of texting. Showed him the clothes I bought and other stuff earlier. It feels really nice to have someone to come back to and just feel happy. *sigh* Okay I’m gushing again. Heh

Okay okay, I shall now go shower and get some early sleep. Adios

I forgot what I want as a title……

November 11, 2004

I think it is safe to say that my birthday celebrations are finally over. Got my package from Robbie yesterday with a SpongeBob, cards, cookies and some cappucino coffee mix thingy (CAFFEINE). Hehe I’ll have to take a pic of that later. Today I got the replacement candles that were broken in the delivery for my birthday. Woohoo got me extra candles now. It has a very nice scent. It’s a combination of roses and jasmine. I can’t really figure it out heh =D

Went to the gym today. I would say today was sorta a drag for me at the gym Heh Got lazy walking on the treadmill. I did 30 mins instead of my new usual 40 mins. It’s only a 10 min difference *innocent look*

I’ll be gone for a week starting Saturday. Gonna go on a holiday to Sydney. SHOPPING!!!!! Come to think of it, I’ll have to cut back on shopping there as the exchange rate is just PHENOMINAL now. *sigh* Wish I was rich sometimes. Then money won’t be a problem. I can do whatever I want whenever I want (like fly over to see my honey as many time as I want!!!!)

Well gonna keep this one short cos I wanna see if there’s anything good on TV =)
